THE SURE WORD OF GOD
The bible says;
"In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.The earth was without form and void, and darkness was over the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters. And God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light".
Genesis 1:1-3.
Children of God,
talk is cheap! Perhaps the easiest thing to do for many people is to talk.
However, very few people can actually walk the talk. Many people just make promises with little or no effort to actualize those words.
In fact, most politicians are known to be very good at dishing out empty words in their manifestos even when they know they lack the wherewithal to carry them out.
In contrast, the certainty of the word of God cannot be questioned! The word: sure signifies reliability, assurance or words without any iota of doubt. Those description can only be attributed to the word of God.
God says:
"So shall my word be that goes out from my mouth; it shall not return to me empty, but it shall accomplish that which I purpose, and shall succeed in the thing for which I sent it".
Isaiah 55:11
The moment God speaks, it is settled. "For no word from God will ever fail." Luke 1:37.
Meditating on the first three verses of the bible reveals a strong link or synergy between the spoken Word and the Spirit of God.
The spoken Word of God in verse three obviously had the backing of the Spirit of God as it produced the needed light immediately.
Medical science tells us that in order for a woman to be pregnant, sperm of a man needs to meet up and fertilize with an egg of a woman.
Anything besides this explanation cannot make any woman to be pregnant.
God sent Angel Gabriel to a virgin woman called Mary to inform her of what God was about to do; using her as the carrier of the Lord of Glory. Then Angel Gabriel said;
"You will conceive and give birth to a son, and you are to call him Jesus.He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High. The Lord God will give him the throne of his father David,And he will reign over Israel forever; his Kingdom will never end!”
Luke 1:31-33.
Mary being a virgin doubted the word of God, as she said;
“But how can this happen? I am a virgin.”
Luke 1:34.
The infallible nature of the word of God cannot be over emphasized.The response of Angel Gabriel further attests to the correlation between the Word and the Holy Spirit. Angel Gabriel said;
"The Holy Spirit will come on you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you".
Luke 1:35.
When God speaks you can be sure His words will come to pass because God has all the machinery to make things happen at His disposal it's just a matter of time before it manifest.
The bible makes us to understand that Jesus is the spoken Word of God that existed with God the Father and God the Holy Spirit from the beginning. John 1:1
"God created everything through Him, and nothing was created except through Him"
John 1:3
That explains the repetitive phrase : "And God Said" in the book of creation: Genesis Chapter 1.
The word of God being sure also means it cannot be prevented by any human effort or forces of darkness.
That's why I pity the wicked people who are in the habit of trying to kill or prevent children of God.
You will only be fighting God when you decide to fight anyone working under the instructions of the sure word of God.
God reiterates the certainty of His word when He said;
"Is not my word like fire, declares the Lord, and like a hammer that breaks the rock in pieces?"
Jeremiah 23: 29.
Hear me clearly, no man can stop the word of God upon my life and yours from being fulfilled.Whoever tries it will continue to experience the wrath of God and calamity in the name often Jesus.
It does not matter what God said, once He speaks it's done!The fig tree in Bethany is a testament to the sure word of God. Jesus cursed the fig tree and the bible says the tree dried up! Mark 11:12-24
The popular song by Kunle Meshida
says;
That is why You are called Jehovah x2
What You say You will do
That is what You will do
That is why You are called Jehovah...
In other words, every word of God does has what it takes to bring it to pass. God's words are not empty words. They are always accompanied by the Holy Spirit and power of the Most High God
Children of God, it does not matter how long you have held on to a word of God without fulfillment, I have come to announce to you today that when God speaks you can be sure it will happen.
The bible says
"The LORD Almighty has sworn, "Surely, as I have planned, so it will be, and as I have purposed, so it will happen".
Isaiah 14:24.
Those words of God in the bible might seem ordinary to you but I tell you with a certainty that they carry the same power (Hebrews 4:12)
as if they came directly from the mouth of God.
Apostle Peter having experienced the transfiguration with James and John as eyewitness to the unbelievable Glory of God in our Lord Jesus Christ wrote;
"We have also a more sure word of prophecy; to which you do well that you take heed, as unto a light that shines in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts"
2 Peter: 1:19
Consequently, words of prophecy are also sure words because they are from God and are bound to come to pass. Just like the words of Angel Gabriel to Mary which has four "shall/will" in it( Luke 1:35) implying the certainty of those words coming to pass.
The Yoruba people calls God "Asoro Se"; The One that speaks and it comes to pass. What a powerful God we serve!
In conclusion, Jesus said;
"You search the Scriptures because you think they give you eternal life. But the Scriptures point to me!"
John 5:39.
Jesus is dependable and reliable. He is the Way, the Truth and the Life, no man can access God without Jesus
John 14:6.
He is the all in all, that gives direction and meaning to our lives.
However, the word of God can only be sure for those that have relationship with Jesus. If you are yet to surrender your life to Him, I enjoin you to do so now without any delay and you will start experiencing the efficacy of the word of God in your life.
May the power of God upon the word of God continue to make impact in every area of our lives in Jesus name. .

MY ALLEGIANCE IS TO JESUS!
Allegiance can be defined as faithfulness or commitment to a superior, to a cause or person.
In other words, your allegiance is your support for and loyalty to a particular group, belief or to a person highly placed.
When our Lord Jesus Christ came to this world, He met all sorts of rules, traditions and norms that the Scribes and the Pharisees of those days have used to enslaved the people.
Hence, the modus operandi of our Lord Jesus was totally different from that of the Pharisees and the Scribes who often questioned the rationale behind Jesus doing things differently.
When they challenged the authority of Jesus, He replied them;
“Truly, truly, I say to you, the Son can do nothing of His own accord, but only what He sees the Father doing. For whatever the Father does, that the Son does likewise".
John 5:19.
Children of God, traditions,norms have so much blindfolded many Christians of this generation to the extent that many live in perpetual bondage.
Many are in serious siege and captivity unknowingly. Most believers of this generation have turned their Pastors to their gods.
They idolize men of God forgetting that we serve a jealous God who said;
"You must not bow down to them or worship them, for I, the LORD your God, am a jealous God who will not tolerate your affection for any other gods.."
Exodus 20:5.
You will hear stuffs like;
"Papa said, Mama said" even when such things are repugnant to the word of God.
That's why there are increasing questionable deeds and allegations between some men behind the pulpit and members of their congregation.
When influential people express their opinions on political and economic issues the media will use such as headlines and the general public will start echoing the statement just because of the personality and the experience of the person involved.
However, spiritual matters or the work of God are totally different. You just have to align your words with the word of God.
The size of your congregation, age, status or experience does not matter to God, he can use anybody to convey His message.
As a twelve year old boy, Jesus "started sitting among the teachers, listening to them and asking them questions. All who heard him were amazed at his understanding and his answers".
Luke 2:46&47.
The disciples also asked Jesus numerous questions about what He did and said. It is not disrespectful when a believer walks to his or her Pastor to ask questions about why the Pastor did or say anything, so far the intent is for clarity sake.
The recent slogans of Pastors "can't do no wrong or that they do not owe anybody explanation for their actions and words are very evil and totally unscriptural"
Some ignorant folks will say stuffs like; "Every man of God must have a Spiritual Father that they are accountable to"
It is a fallacy to believe that certain people enjoy some privileges and immunity from the general commandments of God to mankind. The bible says every man to himself, that's why Apostle Paul wrote;
"But let each one test his own work, and then his reason to boast will be in himself alone and not in his neighbor".
Galatians 6:4
I have searched through the bible and I discovered that wonderful men of God like; John the Baptist, Elijah, Jeremiah, Apostle Paul etc had no "Spiritual Father" they reported to.
Notwithstanding,
God used them all mighty, yet they answered questions when asked concerning their work and their allegiance was totally to God.
That was why John the Baptist testified about Jesus and answered the
Levites and the Jews who questioned his background and pestered him to tell them who he was and who sent him.
Then, John said;
“I am the voice of One calling in the wilderness, ‘Make straight the way for the Lord as said by Prophet Esaias.”
John 1:23.
Brethren, I always frown at the practice of people sharing videos and words of "big" men and women of God in order to justify a particular point of view even when such words do not have credence in the word of God.
I tell you, irrespective of the experience, age, connection of a man of God, if he says anything which does not align with the word of God you are not bound to follow it.
My own bible says;
"But test everything that is said. Hold on to what is good".
1 Thess 5:21.
Invariably, anything said which does not have validity in the word of God should be dispensed with.
That's why men of God should be very wary in associating themselves with Politicians of a particular party, in order not to give wrong impression to their followers who will tend to believe that whoever the Pastor supports is God's choice.
It is important that when men of God share their personal opinions about general issues they should make it clear enough in order not to allow the parishioners to be misled.
That's why Apostle Paul wrote:
"For we know in part and we prophesy in part"
1 Corint 13:9.
Everyone of us is prone to errors. After all Prophet Samuel, despite his pedigree could have anointed Eliab as King instead of David if not for the immediate intervention of God. 1 Samuel 16:6&7
Children of God, your allegiance should be to God,however you are to have regard & respect for constituted authority.
1 Peter 2:13-15
"I tell you that everyone will have to give account on the day of judgment for every empty word they have spoken".
Matthew 12:36.
The Scribes and the Pharisees of those days were troubled by the audacity of Peter and the other disciples as the
bible says;
"When they saw the courage of Peter and John and realized that they were unschooled, ordinary men, they were astonished and they took note that these men had been with Jesus".
Acts 4:13
Brethren, I read the passage again lately and I discovered that, the only people doing the work of God then were doctors of theology(Scribes) Pharisees, Saducees, Priests that had big titles and appellation, yet they lacked the most important prerequisite for the work;
"An encounter or relationship with Jesus"
Not minding your years of experience and the certificates of theology you must have acquired, when you lack the call of God in the work of Ministry, your work may not be recognized in heaven.
Matthew 7:15-23
Peter and the other disciples had their allegiance rested in Jesus.
Although the Jews knew they were "unschooled & ordinary men", without theological certificates, yet they recognized the reality that they must have been connected to Jesus.
Consequently,
when the disciples were constrained from preaching in the name of Jesus;
"Peter and the apostles replied, “We must obey God rather than any human authority".
Acts 5:29
Brethren; I say to you with all sincerity of purpose that by the Grace of God; I do not seek my own will, but only the will of Him who sent me. John 5:30.
Few years ago, just after I had an unforgettable encounter with the Owner (Jesus) of the work and I started spreading the word of God on What's App platform, someone called me to ask if I had taken permission from a "Pastor"!
It was obvious the Spirit of God in me was making their demons so uncomfortable".
Then I replied:
"I only take instructions from Jesus who owns the work"
My allegiance is totally to God, although I was brought up to be very respectful to elders, hence I have regards to constituted authority and to true men of God.
However, my utmost praise and honour goes to the one (Jesus) that commissioned me for His work.
To this end, if you by any chance come across any message;I doubt if you will find any that God inspires me to prepare without referencing the word of God in it, please disregard it totally.
I was called to preach the Word of God (Jesus) and to make His name known to the whole world in readiness of His Second Coming.
No man can do This work in isolation of the word of God.
2 Timothy 4:2-5
In the same vein, I enjoin you all not to be captivated by the empty words of any man of God whether dead or alive that does not have the support of the Scripture.
For the bible says;
"See to it that no one takes you captive through hollow and deceptive philosophy, which depends on human tradition and the elemental spiritual forces of this world rather than on Christ".
Colossians 2:8.
In conclusion,
Please note that, if you attend any Church where you cannot ask the leadership questions about conduct, affairs or the doctrines of the Church and when you ask them questions you are labelled a rebellious person, then be informed you are in an evil society (secret cult) or an 'unhealthy Church'.
In addition to that, for all Church Leaders that have thrive in the practice of "obey without questioning or you only do as you are told" the clock is ticking on you; repent before it is too late.
Ezekiel 34.
Brothers and Sisters of the Gospel, everyone of us(including the Senior Pastors, Deacons and Deaconess, etc) shall one day give individual account of our stewardship to the Creator of heaven and the earth, hence our allegiance should be to Jesus who shall judge us all and reward us according to the works we have done.
Matthew 16: 27.
Therefore,let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: "Fear God and keep His commandments: for this is the whole duty of man".
Ecclesiastes 12:13.
Brethren, I have spoken again, just as I have been sent;
"Whoever has ears, let them hear what the Spirit says to the Churches"
Rev 2:29.

A DESPERATE PRAYER
God spoke as recorded in the book of Psalms;
“Call on me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you will honor me."
Psalm 50:15
A desperate prayer can be defined as a prayer offered to God when one is desirous of a turnaround or when one is in a distress.
Without doubt, a desperate and urgent situation will trigger a desperate prayer.When you
desire an immediate respite or relieve from a stubborn or apprehensive situation,you will open your mouth to pray;
"If I were you, I would turn to God and present my case to Him. He performs wonders that cannot be fathomed, miracles that cannot be counted".
Job 5:8&9.
I watched a video of the last moments of passengers of a recent plane crash and I saw men and women praying desperate
prayers for safety. It was very terrifying. At that point the name of Jesus was in most people's lips.
The good thing about prayer is that we serve a living God that answers prayer.
Halleluyah!!!
If our God answers ordinary prayers, how much more
will He respond to our desperate prayers.
Someone once said: "When God is sought in desperation, He responds".
Imagine the kind of prayers that some of the children of Israel must have prayed when they were faced with the reality of an impending destruction; the Red Sea in their front and the host of Pharaoh behind them.
The bible says;
"As Pharaoh approached, the Israelites looked up and saw the Egyptians marching after them, and they were terrified and cried out to the LORD".
Exodus 14:10
The Psalmist said concerning the Israelites in their distress;
"Then they cried out to the LORD in their trouble, and He delivered them from their distress".
Psalm 107:6.
It is important to highlight the fact that most desperate prayers always come with a vow or promise to do something for God after the prayer must have been answered.
The story of Hannah in the bible is an example of a desperate prayer for a desperate situation.
Hannah became a subject of a consistent ridicule in the hands of Peninnah because she was barren. Hannah was very sorrowful over her situation that she became very desperate and prayed to God in Shiloh.1 Samuel 1:2-10
On a particular year, when the reproach was becoming unbearable for Hannah, she became very desperate that;
"She made a vow, saying, "LORD Almighty, if you will only look on your servant's misery and remember me, and not forget your servant but give her a son, then I will give him to the LORD for all the days of his life, and no razor will ever be used on his head."
1 Samuel 1:11.
A promise or vow made in the course of a desperate prayer is usually done out of desperation to have the respite needed not minding how one will fulfill the vow. However before God it's a covenant that must be kept.
Meanwhile, If you have ever made a vow to God concerning any prayer which God has answered
but you are yet to fulfil your vow, I urge you to honour or redeem your vow without any further delay, for the bible says;
"When you make a vow to God, do not delay to fulfill it. He has no pleasure in fools; fulfill your vow. It is better not to make a vow than to make one and not fulfill it".
Ecclesiastes 5:4&5.
May God have mercy on some of us for delaying to fulfill our vows in Jesus name.
Children of God, on the early hours of December 12, 1992,(my Birthday) I was compelled to make a desperate prayer of which I made a vow.
Although, I believe strongly in line with the Scripture that God has destined each of us for a purpose (Jeremiah 1:5) even before we are conceived in our mother's womb, however, there are events and situations in the course of your journey in life that will usher you into the fulfilment of that destiny.
On that fateful day, we were woken up by gun shots of armed assassins as they forcefully gained entrance into our house in Poly Road Ibadan.
To cut the long story short, everyone scrambled for safety and I was left with no other option but to hide under the bed
It remains the most terrifying moments of my life till date.While I was under the bed, two of the men came inside the room and I noticed one bending his legs to check under the bed I was hiding; I immediately closed my eyes in trepidation and for the fact that I did not want to have any eye contact with any of them.
Then, I offered the most desperate prayer I have ever prayed in my life:
"Lord if you will safe me from this; I will serve you"
After all, God promised to deliver us on the day of trouble when we call on Him.
Psalm 50:15
After about six seconds, I was forced to open my eyes as I heard foot steps of the man coming closer to the bigger side of the bed as if he was coming to draw me out.
I was extremely terrified..Then he stood still for about five seconds and flipped over the mattress of the second bed in that room, scattered the wardrobe and he stormed out of the room saying to others; "there is no one here".
I was so sure the man saw me; *but God preserved my life.* Now I know why the bible says;
"He frustrated the devices of the crafty, so that their hands cannot perform their enterprise".
Job 5:12.
What a God, we serve.
Hannah made a vow at Shiloh when she was desperate for a Male son saying; " I will give him to the LORD for all the days of his life".* I also made a vow on that that dreadful day out of desperation to avoid untimely death. I told God I will serve Him.
In the story of Hannah the bible says after she had weaned Samuel;she took him as a little boy to Shiloh in order to redeem her vow to God and she said;
"I prayed for this child, and the LORD has granted me what I asked of him. So now I give him to the LORD. For his whole life he will be given over to the LORD." And he worshiped the LORD there".
1 Samuel 1:27&28
Consequently,
Samuel served the lord all the days of his life.
As for me, as at the time I prayed the desperate prayer with a vow to serve the Lord, I had not even given my life to Jesus.
However, I can say with all sincerity of heart that, the incident led to my Salvation and by the Grace of God, I have been serving the Lord, since that time though off and on initially, but I have been growing in the Lord continually in the last decade.
I owe everything to Jesus who is still moulding and sharpening me for the great assignment He brought me into this world to accomplish for His name sake.
In the latter part of Psalm 50: 7 God says; "and you will honour Me"
Children of God,
I leave the appraisal to God and to you; His people who might have been blessed by what I do in the House of God and through His messages He has consistently put in me to share with you all over the world.
Despite the fact that some of us might have been praying over an issue for years without answers one thing is very certain in all of these, our God does answers prayers.
Your persistence in praying is very crucial. Despite delays in getting answers to our prayers, our God is still very faithful. He has promised to reward those that love Him and diligently serve Him. 1 Corinthians 2.9.
Mark my words, as the Lord lives before whom I stand, when the time of reward comes,it will be evident for all to see.
God does not renege from His promise over us, so far we do not derail from His precepts. The bible says God honours His words more than all His names. Psalm 138:2
I therefore, beseech you all not to relent in your commitment and dedication to the things of God. Make sure you are consistent and fervent in the place of prayer, for we do not have any other means to communicate with this great God apart from prayer.
Remember; "The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much".
James 5:16b.
However, there is only one name given to mankind by which we must pray, that is the name of Jesus.
John 14:13.
If you are yet to yield your life to Jesus, do so now before it is too late.
In conclusion, I leave you with the promise of God for you and I in Psalm 91;
"He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him".
Psalm 91:15
Prayer:May the Lord honour you and I according to our deeds towards His work and His people in the name of Jesus. .Heb 6:10

JESUS IS MY ONLY SOURCE
The Psalmist wrote;
"I lift up my eyes to the hills. From where does my help come? My help comes from the LORD, the Maker of heaven and earth."
Psalm 121:1&2
Source can be defined as a place, person, or thing from which something originates or can be obtained. It is a body or process by which strength, energy, power or a particular component enters a system.
The question is:
"Where do you draw your power, strength and inspiration from or better put, what is your source?
An ancient Yoruba Adage says;
"A river that forgets its source will surely run dry".
When you make Jesus your source, you can be sure you will continually be filled, for He said;
“I am the bread of life; whoever comes to me shall not hunger, and whoever believes in me shall never thirst".
John 6:35.
I'm a paragraph. Click once to begin entering your own content. You can change my font, size, line height, colour and more by highlighting part of me and selecting the options from the toolbar.
The bible records that God sent Elijah to go hide by the Brook Cherith which was before Jordan with the promise that the ravens shall feed him and he will be drinking from the Brook.
Elijah did according to the instructions of the Lord. He dwelt by the Brook and the ravens was feeding him with bread and flesh just as God had spoken about.
1 Kings 17:3-6
Then the bible says;
"But after a while the brook dried up, for there was no rainfall anywhere in the land".
1 Kings 17:7
I pray for you; your source of livelihood will not run dry in the name of Jesus..
Our God does not forsakes His own people, that's why the Psalmist said; “Great is the Lord, who delights in the welfare of his servant!”
Psalm 35:27.
Truly, He did not forget Elijah,
hence He told him after the Brook had dried up;
“Arise, go to Zarephath, which belongs to Sidon, and dwell there. Behold, I have commanded a widow there to feed you.”
1 King 17:9.
Children of God, not everyone can boast of enjoying such wonderful Grace of provision that Elijah enjoyed.
Apparently, one of the names of the God we serve is; Jehovah Jireh, meaning God the provider. That's why Jesus said;
"Therefore do not be anxious, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For the Gentiles seek after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them all"
Matthew 6:31&32
Brethren, I can testify to the fact that I have witnessed the faithfulness of this God time and time again.
One of the greatest attributes of God is that He is faithful to all His promises. To this end, the Psalmist wrote:
"I have been young, and now am old, yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken or his children begging for bread".
Psalm 37:35.
When your God is the Comptroller General of the heaven and earth, you are not permitted to lack.
Apostle Paul, while emphasizing the faithfulness of God to providing for our needs said:
"He who did not spare his own Son but gave Him up for us all, how will He not also with Him graciously give us all things?"
Romans 8:32.
Our Lord Jesus Christ said to the Samaria woman by Jacob's well;
"But whoever drinks of the water that I will give him will never be thirsty again. The water that I will give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life.” John 4:14.
The good thing about having Jesus as one's source is that you do not have to pay for the provisions from God. It is free of charge.
That's why He said;
"If I were hungry I would not tell you, for the world is mine, and all that is in it.
Psalm 50:12
Glory be to the God that owns the cattles upon a thousand hills.
He does not request for anything before He blesses us.
Jesus said;
"To the thirsty I will give from the spring of the water of life without payment".
Rev 21:6b.
I pray for you again; "He who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will supply and multiply your seed for sowing and increase the harvest of your righteousness in the name of Jesus".
2 Corinthians 9:10.
What a wonderful God we serve. He does not forgets His people.
The bible says;
"Can a mother forget the baby at her breast and have no compassion on the child she has borne? Though she may forget, I will not forget you!"
Isaiah 49:15.
It's not unusual to feel desolate sometimes but you can be sure God will show up just like He showed up for Elijah after the brook dried up and God instructed him to go to the woman of Zarephath for more provisions.
Brethren, "this is the confidence that we have toward Him, that if we ask anything according to His will He hears us. And if we know that He hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we have the requests that we have asked of Him".
1 John 5:14&15.
We cannot do anything without this God, the bible encourages us not to lean on our own understanding but rather to allow God to be our everlasting source that cannot dry up.
"Not by might nor by power, but by my Spirit,' says the LORD Almighty".
Zachariah 4:6
However, in order to enjoy continuous blessing; you need to be born again!.
Finally, our Lord Jesus Christ is still calling you;
“If anyone thirsts, let him come to me and drink. Whoever believes in me, as the Scripture has said, ‘Out of his heart will flow rivers of living water."
John 7:37&38.
I pray for you and for myself that "My God will supply all our needs according to His glorious riches in Christ Jesus".
Phil 4:19.
